Over 120 high school students, staff, and parents traveled to Honduras for a mission trip over Spring Break. Liberty students supported the Hondurans by performing drama presentations at a school in front of about 700 high school students and providing their time and effort on much needed building projects. The Habitat for Humanity representative for Honduras said that he was blown away at how many kids Liberty had on the team. He also commented that they had never had that many kids at one time before, and he had never had kids work harder than Liberty’s. Liberty had six teams of 20 that went to their own housing project and worked on digging 4 foot holes to pour concrete. Each of these homes are in a massive flood zone so we are trying to elevate the foundation before they actually begin building the home. The Liberty Student Ministry travels on mission trips twice yearly and they are now preparing for the summer missions trip to Uganda.
