AHS Eagles dominated the tournament, held April 13th and 14th, with ten players receiving First Team All-District Honors. Those ten players (including all four senior athletes) will advance to the Regional Tournament next week, and will face some tough competitors. The Regional 9-3A Tournament will be held April 21-22, at Eagles Landing in Allen, Texas. The best two in each division will advance to the State Tournament at Lakeway in Austin, Texas. Coach Mandy Pels believes that the team will make the most of the final days leading into regional play. “The Argyle tennis team will focus on first serve consistency, minimizing unforced errors and positive team spirit,” said Pels. With this many players advancing, there are still many chances left for Argyle to receive titles and state berths in multiple events.
