We urge you to support Bonnie Robison for Judge of the Probate Court, in the GOP Primary. The most important elected officials to the citizens of Denton County are judges. It is critical that the most qualified candidates be selected. The Probate Court is a highly specialized court that merits a highly experienced judge. This court has two functions: routine uncontested and administrative work and contested and bitterly fought jury trials over wills, estates, guardianships and land disputes. An associate judge is appointed by the Probate Judge and hears only uncontested matters, thus freeing the Probate Judge to hear the contested cases. Bonnie has been licensed 30 years; more than 3 times as long as either of the other 2 candidates. She is the only candidate who is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate by the Supreme Court sponsored Texas Board of Legal Specialization. The board has issued only 6 certifications in estate planning and probate to the over 400 lawyers in Denton County. Bonnie is also a Certified Public Accountant. Much of the Probate Court work involves complex accounting issues. Bonnie always strives for excellence. We know Bonnie to be thorough, honest, hard-working, friendly and eminently knowledgeable.
