Flower Mound’s Connor Adams was one of several local runners recently selected to the Dallas Morning News’ 2009 All-Area Track and Field team, which was announced last Thursday.
Kayla Denwood has a busy schedule ahead of her.
The 11-year-old Highland Village resident will be competing in two high-caliber track and field meets over the next several weeks. She will compete at the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation state meet in San Antonio on July 25-27 and the Hershey’s Track and Field Games National meet in Hershey, PA on July 31-Aug. 3.

Members of the Guyer track program hope for quick times and huge
success at this weekend’s Class 4A Region I meet in San Angelo.
The event – which will feature the best athletes in Region I
with a chance to go to the state meet – will be held Friday and
Saturday at San Angelo State University. Field events begin at 1 p.m.
on Friday, followed by relay/running prelims at 6 p.m.
