   Argyle Varsity Tennis competed in the 3A Region 2 Tournament April 21st and 22nd. Lacy Blake and Emma Welsh finished first in Girls' Doubles. Will Stein (Boys' Singles) and Maddie Schorlemmer (Girls' Singles) placed 2nd. All four players advance to the State Finals in Austin, May 10-11. Will Stein will be returning to defend his Boys' Singles title while Lacy Blake and Maddie Schorlemmer return as 2nd year State Final veterans.

    The boys and girls Varsity Tennis Team from Argyle played in the District 9-3A Conference meet last week in Prosper. Both the girls and boys took ALL DISTRICT first place. Among the 16  players, 9 will be playing in the Region 2 Regional Tournament next week in Allen, Texas.

  The AHS Eagle Tennis team, looking to ready themselves for the upcoming 3A District competition, attended the tournament hosted by Frisco Centennial High School on Friday, April 3, 2009, and took home the First Place Trophy.
