											<title>PGA Q-School in October </title>
											<description>&lt;p&gt;Dallas/Fort Worth golf enthusiasts will get a sneak preview of the upcoming PGA Tour this fall when Lantana Golf Club hosts the first stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in a recent announcement made by Stephen Phillips, general manager of the club.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;“The PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament – usually referred to as Q-School – is a first-stage tournament slated at warm-weather locations throughout the nation,” says Phillips. “The Lantana tournament Oct. 26-29 is expected to bring in 70-80 top players competing for PGA Tour cards – membership and playing privileges for the upcoming PGA Tour season.”&lt;/p&gt;</description>

											<title>Marcus Golfers Take 1st at Myrtle Beach</title>
											<description>The Marcus boy&amp;rsquo;s golf team played in the third annual Fall Palmetto High School Golf Championship in Myrtle Beach, SC on September 14 and 15.&amp;nbsp; This 36-hole college-style tournament drew 120 junior golfers from seven states to the Grand Strand.&lt;/p&gt;
With a first round 305 putting the Marauders in 2nd place, the boys were determined to overcome their six shot deficit to the team from Cookeville, TN.&amp;nbsp; On day two, Marcus played well enough to win the tournament by five shots, shooting a 5 over par 293.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

											<title>Marcus Golf off to a great start</title>
											<description>Marcus High School&amp;rsquo;s golf program got off to a great start on Wednesday, Sept. 12 when the JV girls team won the Hebron Fall JV Classic at the Indian Creek-Lakes Course in Carrollton.
&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
Marcus won the tournament with a team score of 395, according to Head Golf Coach Craig Koch. The top score in the tournament belonged to Marcus Junior Ali Womack, who shot a 96.

											<title>Marcus Golfer Excels</title>
											<description>Flower Mound resident, Jeffrey Weisheit, 17, is having a swinging good time on the links. Recently, the Marcus High School student performed like a pro during the second round of the Randy Smith Classic presented by the Lubbock Sports Authority. Weisheit, who struggled in the first round with a 10-over-par 82, came back in round two with a 10-under-par 62. Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), the Classic is a 54-hole stroke event held at the Rawls Course at Texas Tech University. The tournament field consists of 99 players, 75 boys and 24 girls, from nine states and Mexico.</description>
